Year 5
Dear Year 5 pupils and parents/carers,
We hope you are all well and have had a good week. We can’t believe it’s the final week of
the school year! We look forward to you all joining us at our Y5 awards ceremony on
Thursday at 1pm via Teams so we can celebrate all your wonderful achievements and
successes.
This week you will be completing transition lessons set by St Margaret Ward as part of
your home learning. These will help you to begin to prepare for high school. You will access
all the lessons by clicking on this link:
Year 5 Transition Lessons
The tasks are described in the subject boxes below.
The staff at St Margaret Ward would love to see photos of your work so please send any
photos to us (Miss Bird or Mrs Mortimer) and we will pass them on.
Remember to check the weekly maths and literacy PDF presentations which recap facts,
give you support and examples for your LBQ tasks and don’t forget we are here to help you
with anything you are unsure of too.
We have birthday wishes to send to four children who will all be turning 10
during the summer holidays: Pixie on 26th July, Lily Rose on 31st July,
William on 4thAugust and James on 13th August. We hope you all have a
great time celebrating!
Have a great week. Stay safe and keep smiling over the summer holidays. We look forward
to welcoming you back in September.
